Join Councilman Fannon to Collect Canned Food and
Clothing Donations in Alexandria
Third Annual 'Alexandrians Have Heart' on February 19th
Alexandria, Virginia – February 11, 2011 - Frank Fannon IV, local businessman, civic leader, and Alexandria City Councilman, is proud to announce the third annual 'Alexandrians Have Heart' Canned Food and Clothing Drive, on Saturday, February 19, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 225 South Henry Street near the intersection of Duke and Henry Street.
"Our country is temporarily going through some tough economic times. Alexandrians have a strong spirit of giving, and working together, we can make a difference in the lives of local families,” Said Councilman Fannon.
“The ‘Alexandrians Have Heart’ donations, on February 19, will be a way that we can reach out to help our friends and neighbors, as well as people we might not know who need our support," noted Fannon.
Councilman Fannon is specifically collecting the following needed items, but will accept other nonperishable food items: Canned Soup, Canned Chicken & Ham, Canned Tuna & Salmon, Peanut Butter, Canned Vegetables, Canned Fruit, Spaghetti Sauce, Hot & Cold Cereals, Pasta & Rice.

Where: Drop off donations in the parking lot at 225 South Henry Street near the intersection of Duke and Henry Street.
All charitable donations will go to ALIVE’, Carpenter’s Shelter, and Christ House in Alexandria.
